What is a tea bath?

A tea bath is a new luxury bath experience, taking all of the hassle out of making an herbal bath. Je Suis Calme’s novelty-sized tea baths give the experience of immersing oneself in a life-sized cup of tea. There is no need for pre-boiling tea leaves and then straining the herbs, or pouring the whole boiling pot into the bath and having to clean up loose herbs out of the tub afterwards. Je Suis Calme has made it as simple as making yourself a cup of tea.

How does this product differ from similar bath products?

This product differs in size (much larger than competitor brands’ tea bags), as well as functionality due to the larger bags providing more in depth of an experience, a more concentrated tea bath. Unlike bath bombs, and fizzies, herbal tea baths are packed with various healing properties for an equally relaxing and restorative experience.

Why does it say “Out Of Stock”?

Out Of Stock means that the products are on pre-order only at the time. When a product is truly out of stock (for seasonal blends) it will be taken off the site. Pre-orders always start a month before a new drop, so sign up for email alerts so that you’ll be one of the first to know about all of our exciting updates!

Are tea baths edible?

Tea bath are not meant for consumption.

Where do you source your ingredients?

Ingredients are regionally sourced. We pick only organic, high-quality herbs to go into our tea blends.

How do I prepare a tea bath?

Bring bathwater to a hot temperature (optionally you may also boil the whole tea bag in a large pot) then place tea bag into hot bath (be careful with the water at this point). Allow to “steep” for 5-15mins or until water has cooled to a reasonable temperature (test the temperature of the water using the back of your hand before getting in) after steeping, step in and enjoy!

It is suggested to clean the bathtub after enjoying your tea bath to prevent staining.

Are tea baths safe for babies and pets?

Tea baths are great to use with babies and pets! The temperature of the water should be carefully considered, it should be let to cool for up to 30mins before introducing a baby or pet to the bath. The temperature of the water should be checked with the back of the hand or elbow to ensure that it is an appropriate temperature for a baby or pet. Babies and pets should always be watched closely when in the bath and never left unattended. Tea baths are a great parent and me bath and are safe to use postpartum and during pregnancy (unless stated otherwise).
